The hotel is 500 metres away from the nearest shops, restaurants and bars and just over a mile from the resort centre. There is a bus stop within 100 metres. The hotel is a mix of traditional and modern architectural styles and sits in its own gardens.

The Golden Sun is a modern hotel on Zante island in a good location surounded by trees and only 150 metres far from the cosmopolitan beach of Kalamaki. The local beach is used by the loggerhead sea turtle for the incubation of its eggs. Kalamaki has a tranquil atmosphere with several restaurants, tavernas, quieter bars and village shops.
