Air Arabia is the first and largest low-cost carrier (LCC) in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. Air Arabia founded in 2003, the airlines was the first low-cost airline in the Middle East. It is a national UAE airline and is headquartered in the city of Sharjah. Air Arabia, the Middle East and North Africa’s largest low-cost carrier, has inaugurated its first weekly direct flight between Ras Al Khaimah and Yekaterinburg, Russia, marking another milestone in the airline’s route expansion from the emirate.
The airline already operates regular direct flights from Ras Al Khaimah to Moscow, providing travelers with more options for business and leisure.
Air Arabia Receives Its First Airbus A320neo Aircraft

Air Arabia, the first and largest low-cost carrier in the Middle East and North Africa, has announced the delivery of its first Airbus A320neo aircraft, part of a 120-aircraft order placed with Airbus in 2019.
The new aircraft joins Air Arabia’s existing fleet of 83 A320 family aircraft, enhancing operational efficiency and supporting the airline’s network expansion plans. The A320neo will enter service on October 1, 2025, with its inaugural flight from Sharjah to Bangkok.
Chairman Sheikh Abdullah Bin Mohammed Al Thani stated that this milestone represents a significant step in strengthening Air Arabia’s fleet and sustainability strategy, while CEO Adel Al Ali highlighted that the new model will help reduce fuel consumption and emissions by up to 20%.
Air Arabia Abu Dhabi Launches Direct Flights to Sialkot, Pakistan

Air Arabia Abu Dhabi, the first low-cost carrier in the UAE capital, has announced the launch of a new direct flight route connecting Zayed International Airport with Sialkot International Airport in Pakistan, starting from July 17, 2025, with three weekly flights.
This expansion comes in response to the growing demand from business travelers and the Pakistani expatriate community, as Sialkot is considered one of the key industrial and export hubs in Pakistan.
